Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis in this work occurs through the non-linear translation of visual information as it moves across systems. My work accumulates through multiple states—digital image, woven structure, material textile, and photographic representation. At each stage, the work is not simply reproduced but transformed. The digital file is fluid and infinitely adjustable; the woven object is fixed, tactile, and singular; the photograph redistributes the work again, flattening and circulating it. Rather than existing in one place, the work’s presence shifts across these forms. Through each state, something is lost, and something is gained. Structure, material behavior, scale, and surface continually reshape the image, producing subtle interference between intention and result.
